Historical Timeline
“The motorcycle was developed as a powered alternative to the bicycle of the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. There were dozens of motorcycle manufacturers through the century but between the Great Depression and two World Wars, the domestic manufactures count was reduced to a few including Harley-Davidson®, Indian and Excelsior. Harley-Davidson® is the only United States motorcycle manufacturer to continue operations through current day.
